Here is How the Designers from 1930’s Predicted Fashion in the 2000s

Ian Smith

In Pathetone Weekly feature from the thirties, Fashion Designers give their thoughts and prediction on what the people from the future (i.e Us, now) would wear.

Their expectation of their “future  designer colleagues” are rather unrealistic and too high, including: aluminium dress, transparent net (which will serve to catch the males) and the electric headlight to help the girl to find an honest man. We must confess that we are rather sad “Eclectic Headlight” didn’t succeed in the market, since it would be a huge trend.
