The Holy Land: Before and After Photos of The Abandoned Christian Theme Park in the United States

Ian Smith

The Holy Land was a huge tourist attraction in Waterbury, Connecticut between 1958 and 1984, a Christian theme park filled with religious exhibits, because nothing says more fun and crazy time like bible studies, right?

At its heyday, Holy Land attracted up to 40,000 visitors a year to the park.John Baptist Greco, a Waterbury-based attorney, was the founder of The Holy Land. This theme park was interned for all people, no matter their race or religion, anyone could find peace. The park closed in 1984, when Greco passed away.

Take a look at some before and after photos of the park.
