Thinking about taking up a new passion? How about owning the United States’ largest car junkyard?
The L&L Classic Auto junkyard in Wendell, Idaho is for sale. The entire junkyard consists of nearly 100 acres just packed full of the rusting pieces. There are cars, trucks, buildings, and millions of useful parts.
The successful business has been open for nearly 80 years and the owner has finally decided to close up shop. However, the owner would like to sell the entire lot as one instead of just selling the parts. He said that he would like to hand the new buyer the keys and get out of there.
The lot is so big that the entire thing hasn’t even been properly inventoried. That may sound like the ultimate headache, but to a mechanic or a dealer, it’s all gold and worth thousands, even millions, depending on just how old those vehicles sitting out there are. Many mechanics and people who like remodeling cars know that the sheet metal is most valuable.
As good as this whole junkyard sounds there’s one hitch: It costs $3,000,000 to own. Yes, that’s the correct price. Why does it cost so much? The inventory must be that valuable. We are talking nearly 80 years’ worth of cars sitting out in the open field.
With that in mind, there are ridiculously priced cars that people are willing to buy. Whether it’s for an ordinary person with a mid-life crisis or a filthy rich actress or superstar, here are the top most valuable cars in the world:
Price: $2.6 million
This model was introduced in February 2016. The Bugatti Chiron was designed to be the most powerful, fastest, and most expensive car in the world. It has a 1500 HP engine which can propel a car from zero to 62 miles per hour in just 2.5 seconds. It is mostly recognized for being able to top 270 miles per hour, but some may argue that it can reach 280 miles per hour and then some. Only 500 units will be made for $2.6 million dollars each. It is considered the fastest car in the world.
Price: $3.4 million
This car has a futuristic look to it and has a combination of speed and power. It is produced in the United Arab Emirates and is the first car to be both designed and produced in the UAE. It has a twin-turbocharged Flat-six engine, producing 740 HP, and can go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.8 seconds with a top speed of 240 miles per hour.
It is, however, a limited car with only seven units built. One of them has been purchased by Abu Dhabi police for patrolling. What makes it so expensive is the use of jewels. It has titanium LED blades with 420 15-carat diamonds. The purchaser can also demand some of the diamonds to be embedded in the headlights. Jewels to choose from include yellow diamonds, rubies, and sapphires.
Price: $4.5 million
This car has a design that is similar to aircraft in science fiction movies. There are only nine of them in the world and all of them were sold before the official release date. It can top a speed of 350 kilometers per hour and has a 740 HP engine which can go from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 2.0 seconds.
Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita

Although the design and speed aren’t as impressive as the others, this car is on the list because it’s made of diamonds. The finish on the car has carbon fibers with diamond dust in the resin. It has a supercharged V8 engine with 1,004 HP with a top speed of 254 miles per hour.
Price: $8.0 million
This is a custom-made car built at the request of Fulda Tires for advertisement purposes. The car was originally manufactured in 2004 and the rapper Birdman bought it. It has a 700 HP with a twin-turbo V12 engine and can reach the top speed of 218 miles per hour.
