Priscilla Presley is setting the record straight after Jackass television personality Bam Margera made claims that she gifted him items from Elvis Presley‘s personal collection. Margera, who became acquainted with Priscilla Presley’s son through connections in the music industry, posted about visiting her home on social media. Margera’s portrayal of the visit was skewed from reality, says Presley, who wants nothing to do with him moving forward.

Margera paid a visit to Presley’s home

Margera visited Presley and her 35-year-old son Navarone Garibaldi Garcia, posts to Instagram show. However, the visit ended in turmoil when he took photographs and videos inside Presley’s home without her consent.

“When I was asked by my son to have a ‘new friend’ come over for a visit, I had no idea who he was or that later he would choose to post photos and false stories,” Presley said in a statement. “He came over, talked non-stop about his new ventures and personal struggles and asked for a photo with me for his father, who is a big fan,” she continued.

He claimed he was gifted items previously belonging to Elvis

It was alleged that during the visit, Presley gifted Margera a ring and a robe previously belonging to the King of Rock and Roll. Margera apparently went on to give the ring to rapper Yelawolf.

Presley explained that she had never gifted Margera the items and didn’t know that he would choose to “circulate those photos accompanied by false information and storytelling.” Margera later said that it was not Priscilla Presley but her son, Navarone, who had gifted him the items, maintaining that they were once Elvis’. Upset by the whole ordeal, Presley explained, “I always welcome fans to take photos with me when they ask. I love and appreciate them.” However, in this case, “Bam Margera has betrayed both myself and my son.”

Priscilla shut down those claims

“At no time during the visit did I give him anything of Elvis’,” she explained. “I still have everything he ever touched.” Following his behavior, Presley considers Margera to be “a dishonest and unstable individual.” Moving forward, she and her son want “no further communication” with him. “I do hope this man gets the help he needs and does what is right,” she said.

Presley, now 77, had been divorced from Elvis for four years before his death in 1977. However, their separation did not diminish her respect for her ex-husband. “I would never disrespect Elvis who was the love of my life by giving away anything that belonged to him. I have always protected them for the fans,” she said. “Elvis belonged to all of you, and I cherish my life with him too much to ever squander anything.”

Margera apologized for the misinformation

On Margera’s official Instagram page, a post was made in response to Presley’s statement. It was captioned, “I want to apologize to @priscillapresley and Navarone Presley for my behavior. I’m very sorry and embarrassed, and I can’t apologize enough for acting like a jackass. Navarone gave me a robe and ring that I gave Phil to be a part of Phil’s Elvis stuff. I’m making Navarone a $10,000 Heartagram necklace because I love his band @themguns with hopes to record and tour. I’m sorry.”

However, comments on the post suggest that Margera doesn’t have control over the page and instead runs a second account. On that secondary page, he has not addressed Presley’s statement, nor has he taken down any photos with the ring and robe he claimed were gifted to him.
